Uh oh... Your delicious honey has crystalized! Before you throw it away here are 3 simple steps to decrystallize it.
- Cook Time:
Ingredients
- (1 Pot) Water
- (1 Jar) Crystalized Honey
Directions
- Warm a pot of water to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure it's not too hot, if it's over 160 degrees your honey will pasteurize losing all of its healthy benefits. I recommend heating your water and then keeping your stovetop on low.
- Every 5-7 minutes, stir the honey. Once it reaches your desired consistency remove and let cool.
- Once cooled place the lid on the jar and store at room temperature. If you plan to store your honey for a long time, put it in the freezer to keep it from crystallizing. Note: You can only do this with raw and unfiltered honey. Some packers add honey to their water which will make the jar explode!
