Breakfast for dinner is a beloved treat in our house. There's something extra special about eggs and bacon in the evening,
We boost the nutritional profile of our breakfast foods by serving them atop a 100% grass fed and finished beef burger patty. Even though our potatoes are called 'French Fry' potatoes, they also make incredible home fries!
Ingredients
- (2 Slices per burger) Bacon
- Ground Beef Patties
- American Cheese
- Fresh Eggs
- Buns
- Sliced Tomato
- Lettuce
- (4 Potatoes) 5 lbs French Fry Potatoes
- (1/2 whole onion) Onion
- (1/2 Whole Pepper) Bell Pepper
- Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika
- Garlic Powder
Directions
Breakfast Burger Directions
- First cook the bacon. To minimize mess, we like to bake ours in a 400 degree oven on a sheet lined in tinfoil. We always save the rendered fat for later cooking projects.
- Prepare your burger patties. Make sure to melt your cheese onto the burgers.
- Fry an egg to top each burger. Use reserved bacon grease for extra delicious eggs. We like to make ours medium so the yolk is somewhat runny, but doesn't make a huge mess.
- Toast the buns.
- Place the lettuce and tomato on the bottom bun. Put a burger on top of the lettuce and a tomato then top with two pieces of bacon and a fried egg.
- Put your favorite condiments on the burger and serve with home fries!
Home Fries Directions
- Cut potatoes into 3/4 inch cubes. Place them in a pot with cold water/ Bring the pot to a boil and cook the potatoes until they are barely tender.
- While potatoes are cooking, cut the onion and pepper into small pieces.
- Place a large skillet on the stove on medium heat. Add a tablespoon of oil and the peppers and onion. Cook the peppers and onion until they are tender and golden.
- Remove the peppers and onions from the pan and set aside.
- Once the potatoes are barely tender, drain them and leave them in a colander to dry for a few minutes
- Put another 1-2 tablespoons of oil into the skillet over medium heat. Add the potatoes, salt, and pepper and toss gently in the oil.
- Press the potatoes into a single layer without flipping them until the bottoms are brown and crispy.
- Flip the potatoes and leave them until they are well browned.
- Add the peppers and onions into the skillet along with paprika and garlic powder to taste. Stir until everything is combined and browned.
- Serve with a breakfast burger and enjoy!
